Steammate Anoying

The first time I click on something on the main page an advertisement slides over the whole page. This is getting very annoying. Also the new Steammate adds seem a bit invasive. Advertising this way seems like a good way to get people to leave the site and never want to come back. There's got to be a better way to maintain this website.

I just visited skins.be, not logged on and without any adblockers, I haven't seen any kind of Steammate ads, maybe you could post a screenshot. Also, tell us which browser you are using. Maybe check even for Ad/Spy/Malware

I use Internet Explorer 8.
I am logged in.
It's only when I first load the Skins.be homepage and the first time I click on anything.
It's not always Steammate there are others too.
It's not spyware or adware. I just reformatted my pc.
Really it's not even that big a deal. It's just another little anoying thing they're doing here lately.

Well, all I can say, every free site has to make money somehow. There are/were already plans to at least reduce the hardcore porn ads, I can't really tell how that is going. I also can't really tell how the site looks now, ad-wise, because I usually don't see ads.

I noticed the same thing yesterday when i logged in
but don't see them today
although I saw them everywhere before I realized I wasn't logged in

I totally understand the having to advertise to make money thing and I really have no problem with that at all. This is an ad on the home page though that slides over the entire page and blocks the view of the page completely. It only happens once and it only happens the first time logging on for the day. As I said it's not really a big deal to me but if I'd never been to the site before and experienced that I would never come back again. Skins.be is a cool website and I'd hate to see them lose viewers due to a bad advertising tactic.
By the way I messed up a bit. It's Streamate not Steammate.

Well, as you said yourself, it hasn't shown up again. So maybe the techs were on it already. I guess the advertise providers change their adds and style of add from time to time and if they get annoying as this they might be kicked out.

Sorry for being unclear, but when I say it happens only once, I mean it only happens once each day. It does this every morning the first time I log on, (including today).
